The critical time for turkey poults

According to WI-DNR Research Scientist Brian Dhuey: The timing of the spring green up is important for the hens and their ability to meet the energy needs of nesting and bring a clutch to hatch, June is important for the survival of the chicks. The critical time for mild weather is the middle two weeks of June (6/9 to 6/22). Hunt in Fall with a Dog

Turkey Dog Loves Deer

Not sure what she's doing here. If you know, tell us all.

Turkeys in the trees

Flushed turkeys usually fly to the tallest trees in the woods. Suki told me where this one was. It was so busy watching Suki running around the tree and barking, I was able to get close enough for a picture. More about Suki at Lucky - Suki - Red
